QME Exam and QME Review Course FAQs

Licensed California professionals who want to perform workers' compensation evaluations will benefit from the QME Review course and test prep, including physicians, chiropractors, psychologists, psychiatrists, acupuncturists, podiatrists and dentists.

The course combines core knowledge with practical application. It includes a pre-test, subject-specific blocks based on the DIR test plan, a test simulator with over 2,000 questions in 13 study units, written by experienced QMEs, two post-test simulations and a bonus test-taking strategies course. A live session upgrade is coming soon.

 A Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) is a medical professional certified by California's Division of Workers' Compensation to conduct impartial evaluations in workers' compensation cases, helping to resolve disputes about medical issues related to claims.

For the 2027 season, the Full QME Review is $345 early bird through December 31, 2026, and $395 from January 1, 2027. It includes all course materials, a free test-taking strategies course and supporting documents, so everything you need to study for the California QME exam is in one place.

Participants have access to expert instructors for Q&A and technical support for the online platform. A community forum for peer interaction and study groups is coming soon.

QME Review is fully online. You study at your own pace from anywhere, which fits the schedule of busy professionals.

Access runs until May 1, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time for everyone, whatever the purchase date. Module 1 opens as soon as you register, and every question bank and exam simulation opens on February 1, 2027. Many candidates plan about eight weeks of study before the exam.
